OANZ exists to grow the Organic Sector through advocacy, ecosystem support and collaboration, to be successful, we rely upon membership to fund our work. We aim to create a sustainable funding model to ensure the continuation of our work as we strive toward transforming our food and farming systems.
The Organic Sector is committed to addressing massive environmental issues facing the world today (be it climate change, biodiversity loss, soil erosion, or polluted waterways) while at the same time feeding people healthy food, improving the well- being of farming families and communities, and growing New Zealand’s economy.
Ecosystem Support → Empower the Organic Sector to thrive through the greatest challenges and opportunities of our time and ultimately inspire the next generation of regenerative organic farmers.
Advocacy → Engage and consult with government and key policymakers to protect and promote the interests of the Organic Sector.
Collaboration → Pooling collective knowledge and resources to unlock efficiencies that will enable producers, communities, businesses, and the environment to thrive.
