Our 2018 Market Report again showed impressive growth. From 2015 to 2017, the New Zealand organic sector grew in value by 30%, reaching a total value of over $600 million. As organic exports grew over that time period, so did the domestic organic market. The domestic organic market grew twice as fast as the conventional food market, and by 2017, 80% of New Zealanders reported buying organic products at least fortnightly.

Much of this increase in value came from growth in domestic organic food sales.
