French pruning expert Francois Dal will be presenting to OWNZ live on 8th July. There will be a followup session a week later on the 15th for growers to return with questions for him after trying out Francois' recommendations in the vineyard.
Francois will explain physiological particularities of vines which are relevant to pruning decisions, and will then explore the impact on the vine from different types of cuts during pruning. He will explain optimal pruning and adaptations to the usual NZ pruning style.
Francois Dal is an agricultural engineer who specialises in crop protection. Francois has worked extensively on trunk diseases, particularly on the impact of pruning practices. For over 10 years, he has hosted pruning courses throughout Europe. His expertise crosses conventional, organic and biodynamic systems. His video presentation at our 2017 Organic & Biodynamic Winegrowing Conference stirred up lots of interest; you can view that video here on our private OWNZ member resource page.
This event is free, but registration is required. You will need to register twice separately: once for the main seminar, and once for the Q&A session.
